A knowledgeable, dedicated
staff in Ames' Original Equipment Manufacturing department specializes in
supplying quality products to many companies in various different industries
such as IBM, Baumfolder, Printek, Wang Labs, and others.
We can design and supply
products that require tight tolerances and special compounds. We work with many different compounds such
as Vitonâ, silicone, PTFEâ, urethane, and rubber.
We
have provided rollers for O.E.M.'s in the folder, printer, copier, banking,
photo, medical, and other fields.

Our ENCORE
Refinished Fuser Rollers for copiers and fax machines represent the latest
addition to our continually expanding refinishing capabilities. Ames' proprietary roller refinishing process
assures each ENCORE roller will meet exacting quality standards
and allows us to guarantee performance that exceeds new OEM rollers under
similar operating conditions. From the
initial core review, to the final buffing and checking prior to packaging,
every ENCORE roller is inspected to provide complete
interchangeability and trouble-free operation.
WHY RECOVER ROLLERS?
In many roller applications, the cost of the core is
significant. Since 1902, Ames has been
producing rollers with the goal of saving customer dollars while maintaining or
increasing roller quality and functionality.
Ames uses the existing core and applies the correct elastomer, taking
into consideration hardness, specific gravity, elastomer family, and
color. Our first priority is to produce
a quality product at a competitive price.
In Ames'
"Specials" department, we recover a wide variety of rollers and will
customize or "Specialty Manufacture" to your particular needs. By fabricating small runs of prototype
parts, we can confirm our assumptions, modify our processes, evaluate product
and set quality control standards.

builds the tools and machinery necessary to manufacture rollers. Our on-site Machine Shop works closely with
our Roller Manufacturing and Quality Assurance Departments from start to finish
to ensure adherence to the tolerances required to produce consistent quality
products at the most competitive price on a timely basis.
